SANDFORD is set to sparkle again after a big clean-up effort takes place this weekend.

Residents are invited to take part in the 2024 Village Spring Clean organised by Sandford Parish Council.

Participants should meet in Sandford Square at 10am on Saturday, April 20, and take gloves, trowels and similar gardening items and equipment.

Refreshments will be provided after the clean has finished.

Residents who are unable to take part are invited to weed the area outside their homes and pick up and dispose of any litter.

The rural parish of Sandford is around two miles north of Crediton and comprises the village of Sandford and the hamlets of Newbuildings, West Sandford and East Village as well as outlying farms and cottages. It has a population of around 1,200.
