THE Rotary Club of Crediton Boniface organised a Senior Citizens Christmas Tea Party with entertainment at the Boniface Centre in Crediton on Saturday, December 13.

There was a glass of sherry to welcome everyone and bingo was played before a splendid tea.

Alan Tonkin was the caller, a duty he has undertaken for the event for the past 28 years.

Husband and wife, Brian and Maureen Boatfield, 94 and 93 respectively, were the oldest guests, who received a box of chocolates each from Rotarian Richard Carey.  AQ 0544

The event, attended by more than 50 local senior citizens, was co-ordinated by Rotarian Richard Carey. Compere was Rotarian Paul Evans.

Morrisons of Crediton, courtesy of the store’s Community Champion, Hazel Evely, provided much of the food for the party.

The event concluded with Carol Singing led by the Ad Hoc Singers.
