In an unusual move, the role of Deputy Mayor and Deputy Chair saw three councillors interested in the position.
Following some debate, it was agreed that the three councillors, Cllr Guy Cochran (Lawrence), Cllr Rachel Backhouse (Lawrence) and Cllr Giles Fawssett (Lawrence) would serve consecutively and serving four months each.
The order was approved with Cllr Cochran, the former Mayor and Chairman, serving in the role for the first four months.
The meeting also included a speech from the retiring Chair/Mayor, public question time, the receiving and ratification of sub committee and committee minutes plus reports from County and District Councillors.
The appointment of members to committees was approved, as was the representation on outside bodies for the ensuing year.
Financial reports were also received and approved.
