THE only competition to survive the weather last week at Downes Crediton Golf Club was the first seniors trophy of the year, The Chris Horgan trophy.

Played on Monday, March 26 a strong field of 80-plus saw some top scores flying in and it was Jim Dunlop who took top spot with a very impressive score of 39 points.

This score also saw Jim win Division One beating Jim Kenshole, who also scored 39 points, by a better back nine.

Alan Matthews took Division Two with a great score of 36 points whilst Brian Johnston was his nearest competitor scoring 34 points.
