THE seniors played a stableford competition at Downes Crediton Golf, on Monday, August 23, which saw John Dean score 42 points to take the top spot while Jim Dunlop finished second with a score of 38 points.

The mid week’s stableford winner was Adam Hull with a score of 39 points.

It was Diane Parsons who took top spot in the ladies county stableford on Thursday, August 26 with a superb score of 38 points. She also took home the Division Two prize, while Trish Wallis finished second with a score of 37 points.

In Division One it was Stacy Ford who scored 33 points to claim top and Anne Woodger finished second with 33 points, but lost to a better back nine.

The Thursday nine hole stableford winner was Ben Dommett who scored 20 points.

The team of Ben Rowe, Oliver Rowe and Jason Arnold took home this year’s Ray Shire trophy on Saturday, August 27, with a fantastic score of nett 59 (11 under) while the team of Quintin Payne-Cook, Robin Tooze and Alan Hatherley finished second with a score of nett 59, but lost to a better back nine.

Tom Grinny won this year’s junior club championship, on Sunday, August 28 with a superb score of nett 68 (two under) to claim the trophy.
