THE Seniors competition at Downes Crediton Golf Club on Monday, October 31 saw three players post “Best of the Day” 38 points, but it was Arthur Moughton that finished top of the pile and also won Division Two with a superior back nine holes.

In Division Two Alan Barr (35pts) followed in second with Paul Dorothy (33pts) third.

Division One victory and winner of the “Grandads Trophy” was Peter Woodger scoring 38 points with Jim Matheson (38pts) second and Joe Hull (36pts) third.

The ladies played an 18 Hole Stableford on Thursday, November 3 and it saw Anne Woodger victorious with Ying Wong following in second and Lyn Parry third.

The first of the clubs Winter Medals was played on Saturday, November 5, in testing conditions.

Simon Grills put together a stunning nett 63 (seven under) to take the overall win and top Division Three, a full six clear of his nearest challenger.

In Division One Ed Gallios continued his good form to post a nett 71 for victory whilst Jon Cornish topped Division Two scoring a nett 69 (one under) and in the process beat his daughter, Kate Cornish, into second by a single stroke.
