COLIN Wheatcroft won the seniors Hip Hooray Trophy and topped Division One at Downes Crediton Golf Club, on Monday, October 18, scoring a brilliant 40 points.
Following in second was Peter Russell posting 37 points.
In Division Two Richard Wilson scored 35 points to take top spot while Vaughan Gallavan finished second with a score of 35 points but lost to a better back nine.
Ben Marchant won the midweek Stableford on Wednesday, October 17 with a score of 38 points.
Downes ladies played a Canadian Greensomes, on Thursday, October 21, which saw the duo of Annet Coles and Fran Shrubsole score a superb 39 points for a great win.
Sue Jackson and Anne Woodger finished second with a score of 38 points.
The final white tee medal of the season, which also played out as the re-arranged October medal, was played on Saturday, October 23 and it saw Ricky Buttle continue his fine form as he posted a stunning nett 64 (six under) to win overall and top Division Three.
In Division Two Michael White scored a nett 69 (one under) for victory whilst Division One saw Carl Skinner post a nett 65 (five under) for the win.
The top ladies scorer of the day was Tracey Chandler who scored a nett 67 (three under) whilst Adam Hull posted the best gross score of 71.
Sunday, October 24 saw Downes members come together to play the annual Mixed Grusomes.
With the pairs being drawn out of a hat prior to play the winning duo, come the end of play, was Steve Gidley and Angela Storey scoring a fine 40 points.
Shirley Stunell and Dennis Wright (38pts) followed in second, whilst Ying Wong and Alan Lawrence (37pts) were placed third.
