ON Wednesday, May 4, Downes Crediton Golf Club saw the seniors play the annual Wednesday wizards and it saw Roger Field steal the show with a superb score of 43 points, while in the nine hole event the winner was Den Conibear who scored 18 points.

The winner of the mid-week stableford went to Phillip Moffat who scored 40 points.

The ladies played a County Stableford and it was Ying Wong who scored 39 points to take Division One on Thursday, May 5.

Fran Shrubsole, who scored 34 points, finished second.

In Division Two it was Sue Jackson who scored 33 points to take top spot with Linda Gill who scored 32 points and in the nine hole stableford it was Sue Sparham who scored 17 points to claim top prize.

The winner of the nine-hole Thursday stableford was Patrick McDonagh who scored 24 points.

Simon Welland continued his good form on Saturday, May 7, by shooting a superb 41 points in the Rosemary Parker Stableford, which gave him the Division Three prize and overall.

In Division Two it was David Taylor who scored 38 points and in Division One it was Jacob Payton with 39 points.

The 40th anniversary Jug, which can only be won by current or past captains, was won by Fran Shrubsole who scored a superb 41 points.
