PETER Bryan was in fine form on Monday, July 19, as he posted a best of the day 42 points to take the Alan Ruddock Trophy, whilst also topping Division Two.
In Division Two, Peter Stunell (37pts) and Dennis Conibear (37pts) followed in second and third respectively.
Division One saw both Dennis Wright and Peter Russell score 37 points but it was Dennis who took top spot by virtue of a better back nine holes.
Mike Palmer (36pts) followed in third.
Matt Dyne and Darren Clifford both posted fine scores of 39 points on Wednesday, July 21, but it was Matt who took the victory with a better back nine.
Victory in the Thursday, (July 22) nine hole Stableford went to Richard Trick with a superb 22 points.
Saturday, July 24 saw Downes members compete in the re-arranged May Medal and it was Nick Taylor who scored a superb nett 65 to win overall and top Division Two.
Leading Division One was Jim Dunlop also posting a nett 65 whilst Division Three belonged Liam Whittleston (10) as he scored a nett 67 for victory.
In form, Adam Hull, posted the best gross score of the day with a 71 that included a fine back nine holes of 32, three under par.
Sunday, July 25 saw Downes Crediton compete in the Devon Golf Palairet Plate Finals Day (hosted at the club) and with some superb performances the club came away with a fine victory.
Playing Foursomes Stableford Rob Whittleston and Nick West scored 38 points, Adam Hull and Matt Arnold posted 33 points whilst Ben Masson and Hayden Morris scored 31 points.
This saw their 102 point total give them a two point victory over second placed Saunton Artisans.
