DOWNES Crediton Golf Club Ladies played a three ball better ball team competition on Thursday, March 22 and after the horrible weather we have had recently it was great to see a good turn out,

It was very tight at the top but taking the victory was the team of Sue Sparham, Trish Wallis and, on her first competition for the club, Rebecca Aven, scoring 64 points.

Second was the team of Shirley Stunell, Vivienne Bailey and Linda Gill who also scored 64 points but losing to a better back nine.

There was a packed field for a club stableford played on Saturday, March 24, which saw some fantastic scores flying in with Paul Hayward taking top spot overall and Division Two with a tremendous score of 44 points. This score just pipped Adam Hull who had a brilliant score of 43 points and took top spot of Division One and Andrew Rogers won Division Three with a great score of 40 points.

Tracey Chandler took the ladies prize with a score of 34 points. There was further congratulations as Frank Morrell had a hole-in-one on the third.
