THE Seniors June Medal was played at Downes Crediton Golf Club on Monday, June 4 and saw Graham Cox score a superb 67 nett to take overall top spot and victory in Division Two.

John Smale (nett 72) followed in second place in Division Two whilst Simon Mannell won Division One achieved a nett 68 to beat Joe Hull (nett 68) with a better back nine.

The Les Pope Over 55’s Cup was played on Wednesday, June 6 and it was Paul Dorothy who took the trophy with a brilliant score of 40 points.

Gary Price, who scored 37 points, finished in second place with Alan Mathews (37 points) in third losing out on the back nine holes.

In the mid-week stableford competition on Wednesday Ollie Knowles drove to victory with a fantastic score of 41 points.

The annual Grandma’s Cup and County Stableford Six for our ladies was held on Thursday, June 7 and there were some superb scores.

Lyn Parry scored an impressive 40 points to take overall victory, the Grandma’s Cup and Division One.

Shirley Stunell followed in second place in Division One whilst Rebecca Aven posted 38 points to take Division Two with Di Botterill second scoring 35 points.

The Thursday evening stableford was won by Adam Williams who scored 14 points.

Ollie Greenslade stole the show in the Men’s June Medal played on Saturday, June 9 scoring a super three under par gross 67 for a nett 64.

This saw Ollie take the overall win and top Division One whilst Simon Baker (nett 66) continued his recent run of good form to attain second place.

Patrick McVeigh topped Division Two scoring a nett 69 with Matt Redstone winning Division Three with a nett 67.
