MATT Dyne was the winner of Downes Crediton Golf Club’s mid-week stableford, played on Wednesday, August 29, with a brilliant score of 38 points beating the in-form Adam Hull who also scored 38 points but lost to a better back nine.
In third place was Robbie Hallam who also scored 38 but he also lost to a better back nine.
Jerry Thornton took the Thursday evening (August 30) stableford shooting a great score of 19 points beating Peter Yendell who scored 18 points.
Saturday, September 1 saw Downes men play the September medal and Jordan Cup and it was Oliver Greenslade who stole the show shooting a gross 70 nett 67 to win this year’s Jordan Cup, Division One and the scratch prize.
He beat Darren Russell to top spot as he shot a great score of a gross 76 nett 68 to finish second in Division One.
Simon March took top spot in Division Two with a great score of nett 68 beating Simon Mannell, while in Division Three Stuart Phillips took the spoils with a score of nett 72 beating Adam Westle who scored a nett 74 to finish second.
