SATURDAY, June 3 saw Okehampton Golf Club hold a three ball two to count Stableford competition for the Ted Brown Challenge Trophy.
Winners of Division One and the trophy were Malcolm Hill, Kevin Cornwall and Mark Wonnacott with 81 points. Steve Peake, Gary Carey and Alan Searle were second with 79 points and Steve Robinson, Ron Copeland and Stuart Tolley were third with 78 points.
Division Two was won by Martin O’Connor, James Williams and Bryan Evans with 77 points, Dave Stallion, Reggie Wonnacott and John Halliday were second with 74 points and in third, with 72 points, were Alan Dunn, Alan Jeffery and Rob Camies.
The ladies section played a qualifying Stableford competition and the winner of the Silver Division with 38 points was Cherry James.
In second place, with 35 points, was Marcia Jones and in third with 34 points was Lin Atkinson.
The Bronze Division was won by Maureen Willcocks with 36 points, Vida Appleton was second with 33 points on the back nine from, in third, Maggie Caws also with 33 points.
