MARTIN Howe was in fine form at Downes Crediton Golf Club in last week’s Seniors Stableford played on Monday, November 1, as he scored a formidable 38 points to take the victory.

William Lines and Rick Eidam both posted 35 points to finish second and third respectively.

Downes ladies played a team stableford on Thursday, November 4, that saw the trio of Stacey Ford, Joyce Gilg and Anne Woodger claim top spot with a score of 65 points.

Shirley Stunell, Lyn Parry and Sue Jackson followed in second scoring 59 points.

The first Winter Medals was played on Saturday, November 6 and it saw some brilliant scores across the three divisions.

The overall and Division Two winner was Matt Slee who scored a fine nett 67 (three under).

Simon March (nett 69) finished two shots further back in second. In Division One Alan Lawrence posted a nett 68 (two under) to take top spot whilst with Ben Marchant (nett 69) second whilst Kate Cornish topped Division Three posting a nett 67 (three under) followed by John Warren (nett 69) in second.

Martin Storey won the weekend’s Sunday, November 7, Stableford with a score of 33 points.
