MEMBERS of Downes Crediton Golf Club played a Monthly Stableford on Saturday, March 7 and it was Downes legend Martin Garnsey that produced the fireworks to take victory scoring a level par 70 for a 40 point haul.

Garnsey also topped Division One and was followed in second by Maurice Curtis (39pts) with Gerald Abdoll (37pts) third.

Division Two saw three players all post 38 points but it was the “in form” Nick Murch who took the victory with Peter Blinkhorn and Duncan Cooper finishing second and third respectively.

John Rance topped Division 3 scoring 38 points to claim the victory and was followed in second by Neil Wilson (36pts) and Phil Beasley (35pts) third.
