SENIOR members of Downes Crediton Golf Club played a six clubs and a putter competition on Monday, December 4.

John Warren, Graham Browne and Jim Dunlop took top spot with a brilliant score of 81 points. They were closely followed by Ian Pring, Cedric Chapple and Herbie Smith with 79 points beating Alan Willey, Gerry Hodder and Simon Mannell with 78 points who finished in third place.

Our ladies played their annual nine-hole Christmas stableford on Thursday, December 7 before enjoying a lovely lunch at the club.

Di Botterill stole the show in the cold conditions with a fantastic score of 19 points with Di Parsons taking second place with a great score of 14 points, beating Penny Long by a better back six.

A frosty start to Saturday morning (December 9) meant that the course was on temporary greens for the December Medal but that didn’t stop our guys from going out and shooting some impressive scores.

Nic Freytag took top spot with a impressive score of 74 gross 66 nett beating his playing partner Richard Dyer who shot a gross 73 nett 66 by a better back nine.

In third place was Oliver Greenslade who shot a Gross 69 nett 67 to win Division One, closely followed by Lee Perrott who shot a gross 78 nett 67 and won Division Three.
