Downes Professionals Barry Austin and Devon Greenslade have enjoyed a little success during the last couple of weeks playing in events across the South West.

Firstly Devon joined up with home members Tristan Kershaw, Keith Blake and John Essery to win the Devon Alliance meeting at Downes Crediton.

Playing a form of betterball stableford they scored 103 points to tie Torquay’s James Urquhart, Terry Gifford, Mike Goodrich and Rob Corbett but took victory with a better back nine hole.

Austin on the other hand has enjoyed two recent wins in West Region Pro-Ams. Firstly he scored a three under par 69 to win at Parkstone in Bournemouth and then on Friday he took the victory posting a seven under par 66 at Woodbury Park.
