THE Seniors at Downes Crediton Golf Club played a three player team medal, one score to count, on Monday, November 28, which saw some tremendous scoring.

Winning with a superb 17 under par nett 53 were the trio of Jim Dunlop, Pete Russell and Rob Dobson.

David Warren, Mike Conder and Dave Vowden finished second, three shots behind scoring a nett 56 with Andrew Chandler, Brian Williams and Paul Willcocks third, posting a nett 58.

On a cold frosty morning (Thursday, December 1) Downes ladies played a nine hole stableford which saw Judith Ezard victorious scoring 17 points.

Ying Wong posted 16 points to finish second with Trish Wallis third scoring 15.

Downes members finished off their festive weekend competitons playing a Texas Scramble that started at 9am on Saturday, December 3 with a shotgun start.

Winning with a dazzling gross 55 nett 57 were the team consisting of father and son, Darren and Matt Russell, along with David Coren.

Second place went to Jason Hayman, Ashley Rookes and Steve Knight scoring a nett 58 with Di Botterill, Gerry Hodder and Ian Steer scoring a nett 58 to be third and leading mixed team.

After play more than 100 members attended the presentation in the clubhouse where all of the winners from the previous weeks Poultry Stablefords and Spirit Stableford received their goodies.
