WINNERS in the men’s class of a Club competition held at Downs Crediton Golf Club on Saturday, April 3 were: 1 Mark Griffin (50 points), 2 Paul Sandercock (36 points), 3 Adam Hull (36 points).

Ladies winner was Lyn Parry (33 points).

The event raised funds for the Mid Devon Golf Academy (Swing Studio).

APRIL MONTHLY STABLEFORD

The April Monthly Stableford was held on Saturday, April 10.

Members enjoyed this, their second competition after the return of golf from lockdown, and it was Stuart Cowling and Jonathan Persent that posted “best of the day” stableford scores of 41 points.

Stuart Cowling’s 41 points saw him top Division Two with John Huskinson (39 points) second and Martyn Sargent (36 points) third.

Jonathan Persent’s 41 points saw him victorious in Division Three followed by Neil Wilson (40 points) and Phil Beasley (39 points) second and third.

Division One was won by Adam Hull, scoring an impressive gross 73 for 37 points, with Tom Baber (34 points) second and Andy Frankum (33 points) third. Kate Cornish was the leading lady posting 31 points.
