THE team of Roger Gratton, Hugh Fernyhough and Graham Pateman took the victory on Downes Crediton Golf Club’s Seniors Three-Player Medalford on Monday, January 14 with a great score of 84 points.
They were followed by the trio of Keith Blake, Peter Bryan and Cedric Chapple who posted 82 points to finish second whilst the team of Gerry Hodder, Alan Willey and Peter Russell (80pts) finished third.
The ladies played a Three-Mulligan stableford competition on Thursday, January 17 and it was Fran Shrubsole who took top spot overall and in Division One with a brilliant score of 38 points.
Her nearest challenger, Anne Woodger, scored a fine 36 points to finish second overall and in Division One whilst in Division Two it was Trish Wallis who finished in top with 35 points with ladies captain Sue Barr (30 pts) in second place.
It was the club captain Nick Murch who took this month’s medal on Saturday, January 19 as he scored a tremendous nett 65 to win the overall prize and Division Two top spot.
Martyn Sargent finished second in Division Two with a score of nett 68.
Division One saw Robert Buglass finished in top spot with a nett 66 with Ben Rowe finishing second with a nett 67 whilst in Division Three it was Stewart Cowling, with a nett 71, who claimed the victory with Patrick McDonagh (nett 73) finishing second.
Richard Dyer won the stableford competition on Sunday, January 20 with a great score of 39 points beating Tim Andrews (39 pts) into second by virtue of a better back nine.
