IT has been a busy week at Okehampton Golf Club!

On Friday, September 26, Okehampton Golf Club hosted the Devon Golf Inter-Club Finals Day.

Eight clubs took part in four separate finals. The Still Cup was won by Teignmouth, the Presidents Trophy was won by Tavistock 2, the Sheelah Creasy Bowl was awarded to Sidmouth and the Doris Willes-Little went to Exeter.

At the end of the day, the green-keepers must be applauded for the sterling efforts that they put in to getting the course in pristine condition and also to all the staff and volunteers who all helped to make the day run smoothly.

On Saturday, September 27, a large field entered an individual medal competition for the Stanly Bridges Salver.

The winner of division one was Lewis Parry with nett 65, Darren Prouse was second with nett 67 and Richard Salter took third place with nett 68.

Division two was won by Steve Penna with nett 66, Redd Cann was second with nett 67 after count back from, in third Dean Abrams also with nett 67.

The winner of division three and the salver was Archie Grant with an outstanding nett 60, Noah Metherell was second with nett 66 and Nick Dudley-Warde was third with nett 67.

On Sunday, a mixed foursomes medal competition was played for the Dora Milner Trophy and the winners with nett 65 were Richard Salter and Sue Stanbury. Cherry James and Steve Pike were second with nett 72.
