THIS coming Friday night, December 12, will see Crediton Youth FC celebrate the 10th anniversary of the return of girls’ football to the club.

The club offers a warm invitation to all current and past coaches and players to join the celebration in the clubhouse from 6.30pm.

The U15s were the only side to play at the weekend. Their game against Starcross Dons was switched to the artificial surface at Teignmouth.

They put in a strong performance but lost out 5-3 to the league leaders with Dan Cavanagh, Jamie Powlesland and Luis Matthews getting on the scoresheet.

Last week, the U15s beat Kentisbeare Falcons 3-2 - a massive win for them. Goals from Ethan Moore and Will Hopkins put them 2-1 up, only for their guests to pull it back level. But a wonder-strike from Jamie Powlesland saw them grab all three points.
