HELLO folks, Yes I am back in print with some information, both good and bad.

Saturday, August 1, was my first visit to Lapford since February 29.

The day was also my wedding anniversary, 61 years.

So to the bad news. Sadly we do not have enough players for a Second Team this season.

My understanding is that they have gone across the border into Morchard Bishop Football Club.

The good news is that higher football clubs want to play a number of friendly games against Lapford.

The first was the game on August 1 away against Bradworthy FC, Lapford coming away with a big 5-0 win.

The next friendly is at home to Torridgeside from North Devon, kick-off 3pm.

On Saturday, August 15, the match will be away against Ifracombe.

I am told the pitch is in good order and that a lot of work has been done to the clubhouse.

There is a lot for Lapford to look forward to, so 2020/21 should be a good season - onwards and upwards!
