AT last all scheduled fixtures for Crediton Youth FC went ahead last weekend.

The U15s hosted unbeaten Central Youth Athletic and lost out 6-1. George Moularis got the home side’s goals.

It was always going to be a tough local derby for the U14s as they travelled to take on the league-leaders North Tawton. The home side went 1-0 up but an equaliser from Ellis Friend saw the first half end one apiece. Early in the second half Archie Crosbie put Crediton 2-1 ahead but the host drew back level and then went onto win the game 3-2.

After a very long lay off the U13s returned to action with a 3-2 home victory over Hemyock.

Also at home were the U12s who had a great 5-0 win against Lympstone Lions. Goals from Dexter Hughes, Elliott Beard, Finn Cereda, Freddie Hubber and Joey Carpenter saw them take all three points.

It was another comprehensive win for the U11s as they entertained Culm Sampford Cougars. Tom Finney scored another hatrick, with Ben Whelan, Charlie Blake, Charlie Haward, Harry Sheppard, Lennie Wilmott and Lennon Young also amongst the goals.

Sunday saw the U18s return to action away at Bocca Seniors. They put in a tremendous performance but lost out 3-1 with Hayden Leach getting their goal. They felt had a couple of early penalty calls gone their way it might have been a different result.

It was an early start and a long foggy journey to Axminster for the U15 girls. Goals from Olivia Mills and Tia Snell with her first goal for the club saw them run out 2-0 winners over a determined Tigers side.

Both U13 girls sides were at home, but unfortunately both tasted defeat.

The Blues went down 8-3 against Torquay Community Sports Yellows. The Youth girls narrowly lost out 1-0 to Braunton Wanderers.

It was Plate semi-final day for the U11 girls. Tahli Smaldon scored with virtually the last kick of the game to see the game finish one each. But it was the visitors Twyford Spartans who squeezed through on penalties.

The U9 girls had two fixtures on Sunday at Lords Meadow.

One side played out their Plate quarter final also against Twyford Spartans. This time it was the home side who held their nerve to progress through on penalties after the game ended 3-3. Amelia Holland, Charlotte Davey and Ettie Bruni getting their goals.

The other side took on Whipton and had a great victory. Maisie Avery, Octavia Abbot, Reina Greaves and Zeenat Mohamidi all getting on the scoresheet.

Player of the day awards went to Charlotte and Octavia.
