AT last the weather allowed a decent amount of football to be played last weekend.
The U15s travelled away to Honiton Youth and returned with another three useful points after a 3-1 victory, George Moularis, Jamie Powlesland and Luis Matthews getting the goals.
Back at home, the U14s eventually lost out 2-1 to Starcross Dons. They battled hard against the wind in the first half and went in 1-0 down at half time. Tom Pett grabbed an equaliser for the home side, but despite dominating the second half and creating lots of chances, they conceded another in injury time.
The U12s lost out 4-2 away at Alphington but should be proud of their performance after leading twice. Dexter Hughes and Finn Cereda netted their goals.
It was another fine result for the U11s as they had a fine win away at Brixington Blues. Ben Whelan, Charley Hiscock, Lennie Wilmott and Tom Finney were amongst the goals for them.
The U7s travelled to Exmouth to take on sides from Lympstone. It was three wins and a draw for them. Finn and Jack took the player of the day awards.
It was a tight affair at Broadclyst for the U15 Girls. They put in a battling performance in a very competitive game. They were 1-0 down at half time and just could not get the equaliser. Then late on, a wonderful free kick from the host saw them run out 2-0 winners.
Crediton Youth U13s Blues travelled to a neutral ground to get their league cup quarter final played. It paid off as they edged out Central Youth Wild Cats 2-1 with Molly Carr getting both goals.
The U13 Girls’ great run in the county cup came to an end as they went out 5-0 away at Twyford Spartans.
It was a good win for the U11 Girls in the quarter final of the league plate competition against Cranbrook. Elanor Boundy, Esme Armitage, Halle Yelland, Ida Brealy and Tahli Smaldon were all amongst the goal-scorers.
The U9 girls were at Broadclyst where they took on sides from Axminster and Feniton. It was one win and one defeat for them, Amelia Holland and Connie Beddoes-Byrnes getting their goals on the day, and Lily Edwards taking the player of the day award.
