MONDAY, February 29 saw Downes Crediton Golf Club seniors play a three player two scores to count team stableford and winning, with a score of 10 under par 82 points, were Roger Phillips, Cyril Dawes and Bill Dick.
In second place, one shot back with 81 points, were Joe Liversage, Dave Jordan and Tom Berry, whilst Danny Enright, Peter Knight and Brian Johnston finished third on 80.
The ladies played an individual stableford on Thursday, March 3 with Lyn Parry and Ying Wong top scoring on the day with 29 points.
Lyn Parry took victory in the Silver Division by one point over Ladies captain, Liz Mapson (28) whilst Ying Wong won the Bronze One Division also by one point over Joe Coe (28).
Bronze Two Division victory went to Annet Coles with 23 points.
Saturday, March 5 saw Downes Members compete in a Three Player Team Stableford, two scores to count. Winning with a fabulous 87 points were the trio of Chris Parker, Chris Wall and Robbie Hallam.
In a close run affair finishing in second, just one point further back on 86, were Adam Hull, Ray Kelly and Will Cockerham.
Third place went to Jason Hayman, Ashley Rookes and Neil Stevens who scored 83, beating Paul Williams, Robin Abrahams and Ian Burridge with a superior back nine holes.
Sunday, March 6 saw a five man Downes Crediton team consisting of Mike Nott, Andy Frankum, Martin Garnsey, Oliver Greenslade and Quinn Payne-Cook take on Tiverton Golf Club in the National Mail on Sunday Knockout.
There were some closely fought matches but Downes Crediton eventually ran out convincing 4-1 winners and now progress into the fourth round.
