MEMBERS of Crediton Chamber of Commerce, volunteers from Crediton’s Tesco store at Wellparks, from the Boniface Rotary Club of Crediton, shopkeepers and other volunteers helped put up 100 Christmas Trees in Crediton High Street, Union Road and some other parts of the town, last Saturday.

There are 20 more trees than last year, under the Crediton Town Council Christmas in Crediton committee scheme.

The trees will soon be wired in to an electrical supply and are set to be switched on as part of the town’s Light Switch On ceremony and parade on Saturday, November 26.

Christmas in Crediton event co-ordinator, Crediton Town Clerk, Mrs Clare Dalley, thanked all those involved in getting the trees up safely and securely and Crediton Chamber of Commerce chairman, Tara Conabeare, also added her thanks.
