IT was certainly an action-packed Devon County Show this year, with what is predicted to be the biggest yet.

Last year, over the three-day event, the record attendance was exceeded with over 101,000 people going along.

Organisers say that a strong attendance on each of the three days this year points to a bumper year and hope that the attendance record will be broken again.

It is understood that the final total will be known after all ticket sales have been counted and audited.

The fine weather certainly helped the Show, alongside a visit from the Duchess of Edinburgh on the first day.

There was entertainment for all the family, the rural community showcasing what it does so well to a wider audience.
