'DON’T Miss the Quilt Exhibition!
Crediton Parish Church will host a stunning display of quilts of all sizes, including a quilted wedding dress, at the South West Quilters exhibition on Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30 from 10am to 6pm and on Sunday, May 31 from 11am to 5pm.
Go along and view the quilts in a beautiful church setting where visitors can also enjoy the architecture of the building and a display of church vestments.
It’s an opportunity not to be missed.
Admission will be £2 (under 16s free) with the proceeds from the event shared between the church and the Daisy Garland Charity.
Please note no dogs will be allowed, other than assistance dogs.
Refreshments will be available in the Boniface Centre on May 29 and 30 from 10am to 4.30pm and on May 31 from 2pm to 4.30pm.
All cafe proceeds go towards maintenance of the church fabric.
Other attractions in the church include a display of church vestments, the Quilters’ material sale table, a raffle to win a Quilt and the church shop.
Find the tombola, bric-a-brac stalls and the Newton St Cyres Art Group Exhibition in the Boniface Centre.
There is disabled access and toilet facilities and parking available.
The church says the exhibition is a new venture and it says there will be more than 100 quilts on display, including various sizes, some of which are prizewinning and valuable.
The event is expected to attract a large number of visitors as the quilters have a strong following.
Representatives from the local church community will be helping as volunteer stewards, first aiders, cafe staff or assisting with set-up and take-down.
