THIS year’s Sandford Craft Fair will take place in Sandford Parish Hall from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, November 14.

There will be 34 stalls with local artists, makers and crafters selling a wide range of high quality and unique art, crafts and gifts.

There will be morning coffee, delicious lunches and afternoon treats.

Raffle prizes are donated by the stallholders, and the stage area is dedicated to children’s creative activities.

There will be stalls selling pottery, jewellery, stained glass, metal and wood work, a wide range of jewellery, textiles, wool and paper mache, handmade teddy bears and toys, paintings, prints and lots of cards, fudge and sweet treats, honey products, Christmas cakes and wreaths.

These are all beautifully made and local, with something for all tastes and budgets.

This established and popular community event, now in its 41st year, also raises funds for charities each year and is a key fundraiser for FOSS (Friends of Sandford School).

The fundraising focus this year is FORCE Cancer Charity, working to support anyone affected by cancer in Exeter and Devon.

Raffle proceeds will go to Pete’s Dragon, a charity providing specialist support for anyone affected by suicide, offering bereavement services, training, and community resources across Devon.

Money raised by the café and children’s craft activities (run by FOSS volunteers) is used for creative activities and projects in school, plus a trip for the whole school to see a pantomime in Exeter.

Pete’s Dragon has been chosen to support an amazing fundraising and slightly crazy trip being undertaken by Sandford brothers, Bobby and Conrad Saunders, past pupils of Sandford school and QE, who are cycling from Sandford to Australia!

This lively and fun annual event is well worth a visit!
