SPREYTON Flower, Produce and Craft Show, held at Spreyton Village Hall on August 15 was opened by Show President Cleave Collins.

The hall was a colourful picture with flowers, produce and crafts, plus cookery and children’s exhibits in a wide range of classes making it a splendid display.

Show Secretary Sharon Hawking explained that entries were 100 down to 444, but said she felt this was still very good due to the recent heatwaves which caused difficulties for growers of fruit, veg and flowers.

Ian Pinwell won an outstanding eight trophies with other trophy winners: J Mayer, John Redstone, Imogen Hawkins, Angela Hawkins, Judith Talbot and Caroline Barkin. Other winners were E Daw, Harry Hooper, S Gillard, H Knight and V Patrick.
