ON Sunday, November 16, Rev Matthew Tregenza blessed approximately 70 shoeboxes which had been filled with Christmas goods for the Christian Response to Eastern Europe (CR2EE) charity.
Forty-two of the boxes had been filled by the Crediton Boniface Rotary club and the others by members of the congregation of the parish church.
The shoeboxes will go to Moldova, which is one of the poorest countries in Europe. It is hoped they will bring cheer to adults and children alike this Christmas time.
Pauline Staite organised the church collection and Sheila Ralph and Garry Adams delivered the Rotary boxes to the church.
CR2EE is a charity based in Devon that distributes humanitarian aid to Ukraine and Moldova.
