Kaleb’s Thumbprint is an official Friend’s group, raising money and awareness of the charity in memory of Kaleb Compton, who sadly passed away in June 2015.
It was after losing 18-month-old Kaleb that the Compton family, which comes from North Tawton, wanted to raise as much money, and awareness, as possible for a charity which was a great help to them.
To-date, the family has raised a great deal of money for the charity through raffles, curry and quiz evenings and other events and Kaleb’s father, Luke Compton, has run many marathons and raised funds through sponsorship and donations.
CHSW runs three hospices, at Little Bridge House at Fremington in North Devon and others in Cornwall and Somerset.
The charity, which works with life-limited children and their families, says it costs more than £8 million each year to run the hospices.
SERVICE AT NORTH TAWTON
During December, Children’s Hospice South West, in conjunction with North Devon Hospice, hold services across North Devon and other parts of the county for those who attend to light a candle and remember a loved one at Christmas.
After each service refreshments and mince pies are available.
The North Tawton service will take place at St Peter’s Church, North Tawton on Friday, December 22, beginning at 6.30pm and all are invited to attend.
