CREDITON Police has today, Wednesday, January 27, issued a statement which reads: “Following some proactive engagement by the Crediton Policing Team, Mid Devon Council has issued a notice to a well-established business in Crediton that has carried on trading during the current lockdown, in a blatant breach of the current Covid Legislation.
“The business involved is now at risk of receiving a £10,000 fine.
“This should act as a reminder to the small minority of people who continue to think the laws do not apply to them that Police can and will take action.
“Crediton Policing Team also welcome any information in relation to breaches of the Covid guidelines and can be contacted on 101 or through our website.
“Stay home, Protect the NHS and Save lives.”
