MORE than 100 visitors to a quilt and textiles exhibition entitled “Sewn Together” at St Matthew’s Church, Coldridge could not fail to be impressed.

There were a vast number of quilts displayed and the quality of work was impressive.

There were a mix of antique, heirloom, modern and beginner quilts.

Examples of different techniques including embroidery, hand stitching, applique and free motion on table runners, cushions, panels, bags, toys and much more, could be seen.

The quilts ranged in size from full bedspreads to miniature wall hangings and even works which looked like photographs.

Most works were by members of Coldridge Quilting Club which meets on the second Wednesday each month at Coldridge Village Hall.

Donations were for Devon Air Ambulance and St Matthew’s Church Fabric Fund.
