CREDITON Town Council played its final free summer concert in Crediton Town Square on Friday, September 4.

The crowd was able to enjoy some lovely tunes, including many well-known favourites such as ‘Smoke on the Water’, ‘Is this the way to Amarillo’, ‘Thundercrest’ and more.

Solos were provided by Kate Lock, Steve Forster and Adie Nuthall.

Musical Director Iorwerth Pugh introduced each of the pieces before they were played.

The next big public performance for the band will be for the 10am Sunday, November 8, Remembrance Service and wreath laying ceremony taking place at Crediton Parish Church and then Crediton Town and Hamlets War Memorial.

It is a non-contesting brass band which concentrates on playing concerts and at community events throughout the year.
