THE Seniors at Downes Crediton Golf Club played their September medal on Monday, September 7 which saw Division One winner, Steve Lay, score nett 68.

A shot back in second place was Laurie Taylor who scored a nett 69.

Division Two and best overall score went to Bill Dick who scored a fantastic 67 which was good enough to take the division by five shots from Barry Lias who scored a nett 72.

Matt Arnold took the midweek stableford on Wednesday, September 9 after scoring 39 points and in second place was Neil Chard who continued his running form shooting 38 points.

Thursday, September 10 saw the ladies play their County Stableford 10.

Silver Division was won by Fran Shrubsole with 30 points and in second place with 29 points was Stacey Ford.

Bronze One and overall winner was June Mitchell with 34 points and in second place was Sophie Button with 31 points.

Ruth Ford was winner of Bronze Two with 30 points and in second place was Linda Gill with 29 points.

Saturday, September 12 saw the men play the Jordan Cup and September monthly medal.

The best scratch score went to Simon Cartlidge who scored 73 just beating the in-form Oliver Greenslade, who also scored 73 but lost on countback.

Simon also took Division One with a nett 66 and in second was Simon Baker who scored a nett 67.

Division Two was won by Neil Ford with a nett 65 and in second, four shots back, was Alistair Todd who shot a 69. Division Three and overall was won by Steve Blackmore who scored a superb 64 and in second place with a nett 66 was Michael White.

The Jordan Cup, which can only be won by players who have represented the club in the Dartmoor League or East Devon League, went to Alan Lawrence who scored 69. Oli Greenslade also scored 69 but lost out on countback.
