A SECOND forward row player for Crediton Rugby Football Club is seeking player sponsorship for next season’s games.

Ryan Doyle issued an appeal on “Twitter” asking local businesses to help him fund his place on Crediton RFC’s team for the forthcoming season.

Player sponsorship is one of the main sources of income for the club and allows them to keep running three senior teams, the colts, junior teams and two girls teams.

Ryan has played a number of first team games for Crediton as well as for Newton Abbot and Phoenix (Buckinghamshire).

Sponsorship costs £100 plus VAT and as well as helping their chosen player, sponsors receive advertising in match day programmes, an invitation to a game with a buffet and a photo with the player at a game.

Crediton RFC plays in the Western Counties League having been promoted as Devon and Cornwall Champions last year.

The club was also nominated for two national community rugby awards this year.

Players that have brought sponsorship to their club receive their membership insurance and kit for the season.
