ARE you ready for some foam-filled fun? The popular 5k Bubble Rush fun run will take place at Filleigh, near Barnstaple on Saturday, September 30, as a fundraising event for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
This will be the first time the event has taken place in the area, and it’s all to raise funds for the charity’s Little Bridge House hospice near Barnstaple.
The hospice cares for nearly 200 life-limited children from across Devon. These children are not expected to live until adulthood, and the hospice provides a range of respite and medical care for the children, as well as their families.
It is hoped that those taking part will raise as much money as possible through sponsorship to help meet the hospice’s £3.4 million annual running costs, and Jayne Jarrett, events fundraiser at Little Bridge House said: "Every pound raised will really help to make a difference to local life-limited children and their families.
"We’re really hoping that the people of North Devon come out and support this event. By taking part you’re only helping to support your local children’s hospice, but you’ll also be having great fun at the same time!’
Based at the beautiful Castle Hill Estate near Filleigh, the Bubble Rush will be an amazing experience for everyone.
Whether you’re a family, a group of work colleagues, or want to run with friends, the event is simply about having fun as you run, jog or walk through the multi-coloured frothy bubbles.
With music from The Voice FM, plus an event village with food and entertainment, it’s set to be a really great afternoon and to join in the bubble fun, you can register online at: www.chsw.org.uk/bubblebarnstaple .
