THE Seniors at Downes Crediton Golf Club played their June medal on Monday, June 8 which saw Division One and overall winner, Mike Charnock, score a brilliant nett 65.
In second place was Bob Skuse just a shot back with 66.
Divison Two was won by Ray Stevens, again with a brilliant 65 just losing on countback for the overall win and second place went to Andrew Scoots with good knock of 67.
Wednesday, June 10 saw the annual playing of the Les Pope Cup, an over 55's stableford event.
The winner with a superb 45 points was Jimmy Blain. In second place was Peter Russell with 39 points just beating Dennis Wright on countback who also scored 39 points to finish in third?
The ladies played their County Stableford Six on Thursday, June 11. Winner of the Silver Division was Marina Caston with 34 points and in second place was Stephanie Moffat with 30 points.
Bronze One and overall winner was Doreen Warren with 41 points, in second place was Ying Wong with 35 points.
Bronze Two was won by June Skuse with 38 points and second place went to Sue Sparham with 36 points.
Saturday, June 13 saw 126 golfers compete for the Kirton Cup, a three-man team open.
The winners with a score of 83 points were Andy and Rob Semmens playing with Edward Kirk from Staddon Heights.
Second place went to Mike Napper, Dave Macpherson and Paul Gidley with 82 points and in third place, also from Staddon Heights, were Dave Montford, Kevin Eke and John Vincent scoring 77 points.
The Dartmoor League saw a local derby take place at Downes on Sunday, June 14 as Crediton took on neighbours Fingle Glen.
Congratulations go to Crediton on an outstanding 5-0 victory, the third time in a row they have beaten Fingle Glen in the league.
This now puts Crediton back in contention to retain there crown.
