OKEHAMPTON Golf Club’s Ladies Creasy team spectacularly won their semi-final against Bovey Tracey at Axe Cliff on Friday, September 16 and now go through to the County Finals to be played today, Friday, September 23 at Saunton Golf Club where they will attempt to win this title for the third consecutive year!

They will be joined by Okehampton Golf Clubs’ Ladies Presidents team also in the County finals after beating Saunton Golf Club at Royal North Devon earlier in the month.

Having both teams from one club in the finals is an amazing feat in itself. Very well done to all players, caddies and supporters and good luck for today.

On Saturday, September 17 an Individual Medal was competed for and after countback the winner of Division One, with nett 66, was Phil Martin, 2 Kevin Perryman nett 66, 3 Richard McFarlane nett 66.

Division Two winner was Colin Beardwell with nett 65 just ahead on the back nine from Paul MacDonald in second place. Third place went to Richard Reid with nett 66 just ahead on count-back from Richard Johnson in fourth place.

Division Three winner was Bryan Evans with nett 65, 2 Steve Pike nett 66, 3 Simon James nett 67.

The Seniors Open was held on Monday, September 12 and overall winners were John Haley, Rod Jones and Rod Milsom-Smith with 77 points. Second overall were Richard Stevens, Colin Wayman and Jeff Maynard from Fingle Glen and Exeter Golf and Country Club with 74 points.

The first Visitor team from Tiverton Golf Club were John Court, John Sargent and Danny McArdle with 74 points.

At the Autumn Mixed Open on Sunday, September 18 the overall winners with 80 points were David and Mary Keir and Nick and Lin Atkinson, 2 Allen and Penny Deakin and Aaron Kinkead and Cherry James 79 points. The first Visitor team prize went to Peter and Heather Clarke, Alan and Jackie Seager from Honiton Golf Club with 76 points.
