IN November Okehampton Golf Club’s Lady Captain Sylvie Gowers handed over the reins of office to incoming Lady Captain Jane Warren.

Thanks went to Sylvie for managing such a difficult year and congratulations for raising more than £2,000 for her chosen charity, Multiple Sclerosis.

The Ladies would warmly welcome anyone who wishes to play golf and join them.

On Saturday, December 12, another very large field entered a Four Ball Better Ball competition and the winners of Division One after countback were Marcus White and Jack Cross with 45 points placing Matt Mills and Rod Wright in second.

Paul Kennedy and Paul Ayris were third with 44 points, narrowly beating Evan Rees and Bryan Evans on the back three. Division Two was won by Tom McGratton and Dean Abrams with an incredible 52 points with John Flavin and Dennis Edwards in second achieving 49 points.

Nick Dudley-Warde and Steve Mander were third with 47 points and fourth place went to Reggie Wonnacott and Nick Reilly with 45 points.
