DURING the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, May 21 and 22, the annual Mid Devon Foursomes competition was held at Downes Crediton and Okehampton Golf Clubs.
Players were fortunate to have lovely weather and two stunning courses in immaculate condition, which were enjoyed by a large field of players.
The winners of the scratch (36 Holes) were Aaron Crabb and Alex Manley from Cricket St Thomas with 69 points and the winner of the handicap (36 Holes) were Matt Parry and Paul Rattenbury from Okehampton with 77 points.
The mixed handicap cup was won by Nick Murch and Rebecca Aven from Downes Crediton with 74 points and the mixed prize (36 Holes) was won by Simon and Karen Green from Saunton with 71 points.
The winner of the single sex (36 Holes) were Peter Andronik and Andrew Morris from Great Torrington with 73 points after countback.
Scratch winners over 18 holes at Downes Crediton were Paul Prouse and Will Searle from Okehampton with 26 points and the handicap winners over 18 holes were John Smale and Andrew Rogers from Downes Crediton with 41 points.
The scratch winners over 18 holes at Okehampton were Stuart Tolley and Barry Down with 28 points and the handicap winners were David and Sue Williams with 40 points.
