IN idyllic surroundings a four ball, two to count, Stableford team competition was played at Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday, August 1.

The winners of Division One were Matt Mills, Rod Wright, Alan Stokes and Gareth Holt with 88 points.

In second place, with 86 points, were Kevin Cornwall, Gary Carey, Arnie Searle and Mark Wonnacott and in third position were Kevin Pedrick, Martyn Cox, Jon Mansell and Matt Soby with 85 points.

Division Two was won by Shaun Cross, Jack Cross, Shane Monnox and Daniel Squire with 86 points.

In second place were Barry Down, Paul Prouse, Barry-John Chapman and Dean Abrams with 83 points and in third place were Lee Bonner, Sam Evans, Mark Bennett and Brett Haines-Lawson with 79 points.

On Wednesday, July 29, the Ladies Section played a Texas Scramble competition with drawn partners.

The winners were Jane Warren, Jo Boswell and Pam Jarman with nett 63.4 followed into second place by Marcia Jones, Michelle Widdows and Di Johnson with nett 67.2.
