A FOUR Ball Better Ball Stableford competition was held at Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday, March 24 which saw Jack Cornwall and Lewis Parry crowned the winners of Division One.

Second place went to Paul Prouse and Ian Moore with 44 points, just ahead on the back nine from Arnie Searle and Mark Wonnacott in third place also with 44 points.

Division Two winners were Dennis Edwards and Barry Porter with 45 points, just ahead on the back nine from Bill Tucker and Lady Captain Sue Williams in second place. Paul and Mickers MacDonald were third with 44 points.

Okehampton’s Dartmoor League team, captained by Paul Prouse, got off to a great start with an away win, scoring 41/2-1/2, at Boringdon Park on Sunday, March 25.

The Ladies section held their Annual Fashion Show and Coffee Morning on Friday, March 23 which once again was a resounding success raising £500 for the Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) the Lady Captain, Sue Williams’, chosen charity.
