DURING Lockdown you may have walked across the Downes Crediton Golf Course or watched the 2021 Masters at Augusta?

Now everything is re-opening, what about trying to play golf yourself?

Downes Crediton Golf Club is offering a seven-week “Get into Golf” programme, which is aimed at newcomers to golf, or those returning to the sport.

• Lessons take place on the club’s practice ground and its fantastic course.

• Golf balls, clubs and equipment are supplied.

• No dress code – just wear something warm and comfortable.

• Minimal cost.

• Pathway and progression into membership is available after the lesson programme.

Golf is a great game for everyone of all ages: male or female, fit or unfit, style icon or sensible dresser. It’s fun, gets you fit, reduces stress and offers full lungs of fresh air.

A round of golf can take you away from the hassles of everyday life and focus your mind.

And it’s great for having a laugh with friends and making new ones. The famous 19th hole is a place to enjoy a drink, discuss your game and meet your future opponents.

The best thing to do is simply give-it-a-go, you’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain.
