SENIOR members at Downes Crediton Golf Club played a pairs better ball stableford competition on Monday, January 6 and it was the duo of Chris Vercoe and David Vowden who took top spot with a great score of 43 points.

John Cann and John Dowling (42 pts) followed in second place whilst Mike Charnock and John Bingham (42 pts) placed third.

Sue Bonner and Anne Woodger stole the show to post a superb score of 39 points to take victory for the ladies section competition, a Canadian Foursomes, on Thursday, January 9. The pair Lyn Parry and Trish Wallis (35 pts) finished in second place.

A Club Stableford on Saturday, January 11 saw some fine scoring with Gary Price taking top spot overall and Division One with a 41 point tally.

In Division One Richard Dyer (39 pts) took second place with Maurice Curtis (37 pts) in third.

Nick Murch posted 41 points to win Division Two followed by Duncan Cooper (39 pts) and Stephen Yates (37 pts).

Stewart Cowling topped Division Three with a score of 39 points followed by Adrian Snell (39 pts) and John Rance (38 pts) in second and third.

In the Ladies Division it was the ever-consistent Tracey Chandler who was victorious posting 35 points.
