WITH amazing conditions and 18 main greens all open, Okehampton Golf Club held a four ball better ball stableford competition on Saturday, January 12.

Winners of Division One with 47 points were Paul Prouse and Dan Hudson. In second place with 44 points were Lee Carey and Bryan Evans and third place went to Malcolm Hooper and Richard Prouse with 43 points after countback.

Division Two was won by Rob Green and Sam Evans with 45 points, Reggie Wonnacott and Tim Butler were second with 44 points and David Stanbury and Richard Johnson were third with 43 points winning on the back nine.

The ladies section had a roll up fun competition which was a stableford competition with a twist where a wish a gift and a prayer were also granted. The winner was Sue Stanbury, Babs Beaney was second and Di Johnson was third.

On Sunday, January 13 the “Last Man Standing” organised a New Year’s Texas Scramble Bash with drawn partners and the overall winners with net 50.6 were Evan Rees, Shane Monnox, Harry Hawking and Babs Beaney.

Iin second place were Jonny Rattenbury, Steve Pike, Jack Cornwall and Nel Moon with net 51.6 followed into third position by Paul Rattenbury, Colin Beardwell, Andy Parry and Mary Keir with net 53.7.
