IN soaring temperatures on Saturday, July 7, Okehampton Golf Club held an individual stableford competition for the Centenary Trophy.

The winner of Division One was Lee Carey with 41 points, closely following into second place by Paul Ezard with 40 points. Paul Rattenbury was third with 38 points.

Division Two was won by Ricky Wooldridge with 38 points, second was Graham Pengelly with 37 points and Graham Moysey was third with 35 points.

Congratulations go to Bob Jones, winner of Division Three and the Centenary Trophy with 43 points. Andrew Rogers was second with 41 points and Michael MacDonald was third with 38 points.

On Friday, July 6 five couples from Okehampton Golf Club entered a field of 58 for the prestigious County Flitch Vase, a stableford foursomes competition for married pairs. This year it was held at Holsworthy.

From Okehampton, Richard and Di Johnson were third (39 pts), David and Jane Warren were fourth (39 pts) and David and Sue Williams placed seventh (38 pts).
