IT was another busy week at Okehampton Golf Club when the Senior’s Three Ball Open took place.

The overall winners were Graham Harding, Mike Davis and Alan Stokes with 76 points and second overall were Stuart Wilson, Clive Yeo and Martyn Gannon with 74 points.

Best Visitor prize went to R Nesbitt, J Adams and J Soutar with 72 points and the best combination prize was won by Pete Grant, Steve Blackmuir and David Stanbury with 73 points.

A three ball two to count stableford competition was the order of the day on Saturday and the winners, with 84 points, were Paul Prouse, Ian Moore and Steve Peake.

In second place were Martyn Cox, Chris Hurley and Adam Cook with 83 points and Jonathan Mansell, Alan Hawking and Colin Cornwall were third with 75 points.

Also held was a mixed foursome’s competition with drawn partners for the Dora Milner Trophy. The winners, with nett 70, were David Williams and Sue Stanbury, closely followed into second place by Gareth Holt and Penny Deakin with nett 71 after count back on the back nine from, in third David Stanbury and Lin Atkinson, also with nett 71.

On Wednesday the ladies played their monthly medal competition and the winner of the Silver Division was Marcia Collet with nett 72.

In second place was Sue Stanbury with nett 75 and third was Penny Deakin with nett 77.

The Bronze Division was won by Mary Keir with nett 80.

Elaine Marwood was second also with nett 80 and Maureen Willcocks was third with nett 83.
